Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us

Last Updated: June 4, 2026 Effective: Upon publication

1. Introduction

SnapCard ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application.

Key Point: SnapCard is designed to work entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your photos or personal content.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

  • Your photos — processed locally, never uploaded
  • Your cards and stickers — stored only on your device
  • Your name, email, or identity — we don't ask for these
  • Your contacts or address book
  • Your location

3. Information We May Collect

3.1 Crash Reports

We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash data (stack traces, device model, OS version). This helps us fix bugs. No personal content is included.

3.2 Usage Analytics

We may collect anonymous usage events (e.g., "sticker added", "card saved") to understand which features are popular. This data cannot identify you.

4. Permissions

Permission Purpose When Used
Camera Take photos for sticker creation When you tap the camera button
Photo Picker Select existing photos When you choose from gallery
Storage (MediaStore) Save finished cards to gallery When you tap "Save to Album"

All permissions are optional. You can deny any permission and still use the app — only that specific feature will be unavailable.

5. How We Use Your Information

  • Photo processing: Done entirely on-device using Google ML Kit. No photo data leaves your phone.
  • Local storage: Cards and stickers are saved to your app's private storage. We cannot access this data.
  • Crash fixing: Anonymous crash reports help us improve stability.

7. Data Retention

  • All your data (cards, stickers, photos) is stored locally on your device.
  • Data persists until you delete the app or manually remove your cards.
  • We have no access to your data and cannot retrieve or delete it remotely.

8. Children's Privacy

SnapCard does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is designed for general audiences and does not require account creation.

9. Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, there is no personal data for us to delete, modify, or export. You have full control over your content on your device.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the app and on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
